Our Story – The Power of One Warm Coat
It was a freezing December evening when a woman named Clara came to our food station. She was trembling, wearing only a thin sweater. One of our volunteers, a young boy named Ethan, offered her his spare winter coat — a bright yellow one with a little tear on the sleeve.
Clara’s eyes filled with tears. Weeks later, she returned, not for food, but with a bag of hand-knitted scarves. “That coat saved my life,” she said. “Now, I want to help someone else stay warm.”
From that day on, our “Warm Hands, Warm Hearts” campaign was born — spreading not only warmth but also kindness across Saint Peters. Every coat, every meal, every smile carries forward the same spirit: one act of compassion can start a wave of change.
